· I penned down this poem a midnight before my B.El.Ed.’s I year exam for the subject “Contemporary India”. I scored ‘good’ marks in this exam.
· This is also an ode to those student folks who brave all odds to concentrate during the exam preparation and unlike me don’t end up writing a dard-e-daastaan!
Living With Burden
Ever wondered who made studies?
You digest it with many difficulties.
“Contemporary India” passing over my head
Somebody please give me astrology instead.
Mugging up “Chemistry” and puking the same
Don’t you find me getting insane?
What Sir teaches is all French
No wonder, I’m always at the last bench.
“Psychology” you take my breath away
Wish I could finish your assignments some day.
A project here, an activity there
Raising my hair up with fear
One day, on my gravestone you’ll find
“Late Bincy B.El.Ed. Thomas” signed.
